CPHEO Learning Management System (LMS) Competency Search

Thank you for accessing the University of Minnesota Centers for Public Health Education and Outreach Education and Training Competency Database/Learning Management System (LMS).

Using this site, you can:

  • identify the competencies that specific courses will help you develop, and
  • generate a report that you can use to identify the competencies reflected in courses you have already completed.

This system was developed around three nationally recognized sets of competency statements:

  • The Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice Core Competencies
  • The Association of Schools of Public Health (ASPH) Core Masters in Public Health Competency Set
  • The CDC Bioterrorism/Emergency Readiness Competency Set

Each course/training activity in the system has been reviewed and the competencies in it identified using a consistent framework developed by the Midwest Center for Life-Long Learning in Pubic Health and by the University of Minnesota Center for Public Health Preparedness. Courses offered prior to April, 2005 are not included in this mapping database.
